Dave Johnson
Director of Engineering
Dave Johnson is the Director of Engineering at Hogan Manufacturing, where he leads the design and support of new products including accessibility ramps and heavy haul trailers, and supports manufacturing quality improvements across the organization. Over his 24-year career with Hogan, Dave has held multiple leadership roles spanning engineering and manufacturing.
He began his career designing accessibility products such as hydraulic wheelchair lifts and ramps for buses. He later managed one of Hogan’s manufacturing plants for eight years before returning to engineering in his current role. Dave takes pride in delivering high-quality, dependable products that provide real value to customers.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Tech and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California.
Outside of work, Dave mentors a high school robotics team that competes in FIRST competitions each year, sharing his passion for engineering and hands-on problem solving with the next generation of innovators.
